The Internet revolution has brought us many important things, including the transmission of music, shopping online, electronic bill payment and many useful applications in the comfort of a simple mouse click. One thing I think is often overlooked, but is very valuable e-book. Mostly books on electronic materials themselves non-fiction / improvement. I am an avid reader, but even if the general public, to reduce the retail price of books seems to be triggered even more. Here are some ways to address them:

1. Librivox.org – I love this site a lot. Librivox.org is a project of non-profit organization where people donate their time and audio equipment to record them reading or recitation of the classics – everything from Jane Austen to Thoreau to the Bible. It is often divided into chapters easily digestible, and usually the voice talent is nice, clear and interesting. Since only read books that can be found in the public domain, you do not charge a penny for their services. This is a great way to pass the time while performing a monotonous task such as sweeping, sewing, or in some cases even work.

2. Podiobooks.com – If you have an iPod or other MP3 player, or if you spend hours on his computer, and you’re looking for something to listen to some classic modern LibriVox, you may be interested podiobooks.com, an absolutely brilliant that the authors serialize his fiction and non-fiction as a free-to-download podcast! You can subscribe to your favorite books and authors in the same way as any other podcast, and listen to some of the most advanced and ready to give – at no cost to you.

3. Google Book Search – One of the most successful Google has done is to visit the pages of hundreds of thousands of books and make them available (usually “limited edition”) to anyone to succeed. This has been a valuable resource for me, especially the fact that most journals are available in its entirety, often going back years and years in the archives of the magazine, it’s all free!

4. The library – Ah, yes, the old man. Do not underestimate this point because I have to say – the library is back in style. With the new date information systems in all major public libraries, gone are the days of card catalogs of dust and the need to remember the Dewey decimal classification system. And like most libraries will receive copies of new releases in a few weeks of its publication, can stay on top of the Oprah Book Club like never before – for free! Hands down, the library is still the best place to go to read free.
