The Best Years season 2 premieres April 21 on Global!

Canadian Viewers: The Best Years Season 2 will premiere on April 21st on Global! American audiences will be able to see the episodes first on The N beginning April 3. Here is the media press release from Global regarding Season 2

In season 1, The Best Years introduced foster kid SAMANTHA BEST (Charity Shea) as she jumped into her first year at Charles University, and dealt with all the challenges of finding her feet, making friends, falling in love and breaking up, and discovering a family she never knew she had. Along the way, we met her best friends KATHRYN KLARNER (Jennifer Miller) and NOAH JENSEN (Randal Edwards) and other great characters who rounded out the ensemble and kept Sam afloat through her tumultuous freshman year. The Best Years - Season 2

The N has confirmed The Best Years will return for a second season to premeire on April 3, 2009! We will try to have the promos up soon on our media page. Note we will not provide download links or upload the episodes to the media player due to copyright laws. We will however post embedded videos from The N each week here at Best Years Online for American viewers curtesy of The N.

American viewers, you can catch up on Season 1 via The Click where all the episodes are availabe for American audiences.

Also we plan on trying to have the new revamped site up by premiere night and the forums will have a complete re-launch as well.

Update/Note: To clarify this is about The Best Years airing in the United States on The N. Currently E! Canada has not released any information as to when Season 2 will air as they are still repeating Season 1.

News & Update

E! Canada will air Season 1 repeats on Sundays at 7 PM now. We still don’t have any word on when Season 2 will premiere on E! Canada or if it will air in the USA.

The Best Years on E! Canada

The Best Years is currently repeating its first season on its new home of E! Canada, the second season is scheduled to air sometime during the 2008-2009 television season on E! Canada on Tuesdays @ 10 PM.

Also E! Canada has launched their official The Best Years website. While it is a basic show page right now it sure is a lot nicer than Global’s page for the show.

Media section now open

Our media section is now open and ready for you to upload your clips, videos, songs and any other media related to the The Best Years! Please however do not upload complete episodes of the show as this is infringing upon the copyrights of the show’s creator and limits their ability to sell the show. Any users found uploading full episodes of the show will be banned.

Site Update/Season 2

Season 2 of The Best Years will return to Canadian TV screens either in the fall or winter of 2008 on E! American viewers we will just have to wait for an announcement regarding the show from The N. Regarding questions about posting episodes here on the site the answer is no. We received emails during Season 1 not to allow the videos from their respective copyright holders & licensors and going into Season 2 we will maintain our “no episode uploading” policy.

Also expect a complete redesign for Best Years Online coming by the end of the year, we have been pretty dormant since Season 1 ended but in honor of Season 2 we are coming back with guns a blazing. Also we will launch our media section on October 14, 2008. We are looking for beta testers to test the media site. Please contact us with “beta tester” in the subject line with the following information:

Canada: The Best Years Returns

Canwest announced the primetime fall schedules for both Global and E! Canada today. While The Best Years will be returning in Canada it will also move networks as well.

Season 1 aired in the summer of 2007 on Global (Canada) and The N (USA) and became a hit with audiences. Now in Canada, Season 2 of The Best Years will air in 2008-2009 Fall primetime on E! Canada.

The Best Years, Season 2 will return on E! Canada on Tuesday nights @ 10 PM EST most likely in September. Currently The N has not released any information about the return of The Best Years in the USA.

Edit: I would just like to point out that The Best Years is a Canadian show like Degrassi and Instant Star and is a joint production with Canwest (parent of Global & E! Canada) and The N. This is similar to how Instant Star and Whistler are Canadian productions with both CTV and The N jointly producing the show.

NTV viewers The Best Years is on!

In the off chance no one knew this or didn’t know the Canadian broadcast channel NTV serving the Newfoundland and Labrador area is airing season one of The Best Years Saturday nights at 6:00 PM.

Currently the channel is up to Ep. 106. Here is the upcoming schedule for this week and next:

The N: Episode Repeats

The N will air an episode of The Best Years on Monday, April 7, 2008. Episode 107 “Shadow of a Doubt” will be the first episode of The Best Years to air on The N since they went 24/7 back in December.

New Layout

Hey guys. Best Years Online decided to change things up a bit and go with a new layout. Thanks to Dylan for the lovely layout and to Joe for coding it for us. Best Years Online also is running on WordPress now instead of Cutenews. WordPress is a whole lot easier to use for both the staff and you guys.

The forums will be down until Friday, April 4, 2008 @7:30 PM. We are working hard to improve the forums for you guys and make your experience more enjoyable here at Best Years Online.
